Mike asked C0ry to enter the information on the Smile Train onto the club’s website noting that the club is a supporter of this charitable organization.
New business –
Review of Club Bylaws – Mike advised the members that Larry Laskorski had reviewed the club’s existing By Laws and had provided him with some comments and suggestions. Larry then stated that he would send out the By Laws with his comments to the members for their review and requested that they send any suggestions or edits to Larry before the April meeting.
Club Constitution – Mike stated that the club should also perform a review of it’s constitution. Call to Order –
Mike Allen called the meeting to order at 7:30 P.M. The meeting was called to order earlier than scheduled since we didn’t experience the longer eating time which usually results with restaurant service. Mike had the pizza and refreshments available at the start of the dinner/social hour. It should be noted that no additional members arrived to the meeting after 7:00 PM.
Previous meeting’s minutes -

Old business -
Activities Board Member Search - We are still searching for an Activities Board Member to replace Michell Matheron. Any ideas or suggestions?
Alternative meeting locations – We continue to hold the monthly meetings at different locations around Columbus to make participation in the club more attractive and accessible to local BMW motorcycle riders.
The February meeting was held at Motohio. Mike Allen generously provided pizza and refreshments for the members in attendance. The members in attendance continue to be supportive of this initiative. Mike Allen continues to research alternative meeting places. He is still seeking suggestions from the membership for alternate meeting locations. The location of the March meeting was not determined during this meeting. Once it has been determined, Larry will send out an email to all members.
Annual Banquet – While the annual club banquet had been scheduled for Saturday, January 15, 2022, it was cancelled due to concerns regarding the rise in COVID-19 infection rates. We expect to have the banquet next January.
New Club Tent – The new club tent was purchased by Motohio and on display in the showroom for the meeting. All members in attendance had the opportunity to view the tent and expressed their approval of the design and finished product.
Renewal of Ohio Corporate Registration – Larry Laskorski filled out all the paperwork required to renew the club’s corporate registration and to process the change of Statutory Agent from Michelle to Larry. Mike Allen and Larry signed the forms as club President and Secretary, respectively. The executed forms were then forwarded to Henning Carlson to issue the payment of the required filing fees and send the executed documents and payments to the office of Ohio’s Secretary of State. Henning confirmed that payments were issued, and the forms were filed accordingly.
2022 Membership Dues – The increased annual membership dues information ($35) will be posted on the new club website. Larry Laskorski will also highlight the change in an email to all members.
Sunday morning breakfast meetups – These meetups had been suspended over the holidays. Henning Carlsen informed the members in attendance they will resume on the first Sunday of March (6th) at 8:30 AM at the Sunny Street Café, located at 7573 Sawmill Rd., Dublin, OH, 43016. Henning and a few of the members had tried this location out before the holidays and feel that it is a better alternative to Denny’s. While the starting time is 30 minutes earlier than it has historically been at Denny’s, it will allow the participants to socialize and eat at a relaxed pace as the restaurant’s activity level increases later in the morning.
Meeting Dates – The topic of changing the weekday for the monthly meetings to the third Tuesday of the month to allow the membership the opportunity to participate in Motohio’s weekly Wednesday dinner rides. While the members in attendance were in favor of the change, it was decided that Larry would send out an email to the membership to solicit comments before the next meeting with a vote to be held at the March meeting.
New Club Website – Cory Samuel informed the members that the website (buckeyebeemers.com) is live. Please log into the site and check it out. Cory has taken as much information, as possible, from the existing Blog. While this is a public website, there will be a “Members’ Only” section. Access to the Members Only area of the website will be available on an annual basis to members who are current in the payment of their annual dues. For the near future, the payment of dues will continue with payments either being collected at meetings/events or mailed to the Club Treasurer, Henning Carlson. At some point we may modify this process to allow for online dues payments. The membership application can be filled out online or downloaded from the website.
The website will have a home page with links to club calendar of activities/events and meeting locations/addresses, contact information for Board Members, Secretary’s Meeting Minutes, club background information and Bylaws. Members will also be allowed to submit photos and member stories. This Members Only area contain a directory of the members’ name, photo, address, phone number, email address, bikes owned, interests, etc.
With the launch of the new website, the suggestion was made to decommission the old blog site. Larry made a motion to submit the minutes for this meeting on the Blog and new website and then only to the new website from March’s meeting going forward. Cory noted that he must still train Mike Allen and Larry Laskorski as administrators on the website so that they can post both the President’s letter and Secretary’s Meeting Minutes, respectively. Discussion on the motion continued with no further action taken. We will address the decommissioning of the Blog at the next meeting after both Mike and Larry have been added as administrators on the new website.
Also discussed was either converting the current Buckeye Beemers Facebook page to a “Group” where individuals can join the group and interact with other group members on their own rather than the current format where individuals become Facebook Friends with the current site. Mike suggested that we continue to explore this topic further.
New business –
Review of Club Bylaws – Cory stated that as he developed the new club website, he discovered that the existing Bylaws are rather dated and should be reviewed and updated. Cory made a motion that the club’s Bylaws should be sent out to the membership requesting suggestions for updating and comments. Mike Allen seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
Club Support of Charitable Organizations – Smile Train, 633 Third Avenue, 9thC Floor, New York, NY 10017. Historically, the club has made an annual donation to Smile Club. The last time that we made this donation was in 2020 before COVID-19. While all in attendance were in favor of continuing support, it was decided to post the information on this charity to the club’s website and take up the discussion of a donation for 2022 with the membership at a future meeting. Given that the solicitation notice that we received from the charity stated that all contributions received by February 17th would be matched and multiplied five-fold. Mike Allen made a motion to approve the contribution of $250 to Smile Train from the club, and that it be issued and mailed by February 17th. Mike also moved that the information regarding the charity be included on the club's new website. Larry Laskorski seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
Activities – BMW Motorcycles of Greater Cincinnati will be hosting a private screening of Backcountry Discovery Routes - Wyoming on Friday, February 25th at 6:30 PM.

General Monthly Meeting Minutes for November 2021
Members in Attendance –
Attending the November meeting were Mike Allen (President), Larry Laskorski (Secretary), Cory Samuell (Membership), Henning Carlsen (Treasurer), Al Holtsberry, Terry Smith, and Jason Alexander.
Call to Order –
Mike Allen called the meeting to order at 8:02 P.M.
Previous meeting’s minutes -
Larry Laskorski then read the minutes of the October 20th meeting. Al Holtsberry moved to accept the minutes, as written, and that they be entered into the organization’s records. Terry Smith seconded the motion. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
The treasurer's report-
Henning Carlsen provided a short financial report that indicated the treasury balance. If you need that actual number, please reach out to Henning (see Membership Manager for email and/or phone number). The club is solvent.
Membership -
As of this meeting there were no new members.
Old business -
Activities Board Member Search - We are still searching for an Activities Board Member to replace Michell Matheron. Any ideas or suggestions?
Alternative meeting locations – We have begun to hold the monthly meetings at different locations around Columbus to make participation in the club more attractive and accessible to local BMW motorcycle riders.
The November meeting was held at The Paddock Pub, 1005 Richardson Road, Groveport, OH. We were provided with the use of their private meeting room. Again, the overall reaction from the members in attendance was that this was a good location that featured a large parking lot and a private dining area where we could socialize, eat, and meet. The food and service were very good, as well.
Mike Allen continues to research alternative meeting places. He is still seeking suggestions from the membership for alternate meeting locations. The plan is to be able to announce the location of the following month’s meeting at the close of the current month’s meeting. As there is historically no meeting scheduled for December, the next meeting will be at the annual banquet to be held in January.
The potential dates are January 15th, 22nd, and 29th (All Saturday’s). Mike advised the membership that Michelle Matheron has provided him with the contact information at Schmidt’s Sausage Haus and Restaurant. Mike will reach out to Schmidt’s to see what dates they have available.
The historical cost of the annual banquet, as well as the membership participation cost, was discussed. Given the current state of the economy, it is thought that the cost of the banquet will be greater that the last banquet which was held in 2020 (pre-COVID 19 restrictions). The historical membership participation cost has been $20/person which required the club to subsidize the cost of the function. A suggestion was made to consider raising the participation cost. After discussion, Al Holtsberry moved to increase the amount to $30 per person. The motion was seconded by Henning Carlsen. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
New Club Tent - The new club tent as approved at the August meeting has yet to be ordered. Mike Allen has developed a draft rendering of the tent’s design, which is still a work in progress, with the members in attendance. The feedback from the members was all positive. Mike will continue to refine the design,
New Club Website – Cory Samuel presented an initial look at the website that he has begun to develop. The website (buckeyebeemers.com) will be a replacement of the Blog for which technology now provides more updated and robust options. The website will have a home page with club background and information and will provide us with the ability to post club photos, meeting minutes, activity/dinner ride calendars. There will also be a “Members Area” for which access thereto will be restricted only members of the club. This area would identify the club officers in addition to the members. This area could also contain a members’ directory like that of BMW MOA that would contain the members’ name, photo’s, address, phone number, email address, bikes owned, interest, etc. The website could also be developed to provide us with the ability to process membership applications and renewals.
The annual costs of the website are $155 plus $12 for the ownership of the domain name. If we chose to add the option of adding a member, only section to assist in the management of the member database there would be an additional cost of $30/month. This option would provide us with the ability to process dues payments, via credit card, through a secure third-party provider portal who would be responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the members’ credit card information. There is an additional 4% transaction fee for each charge processed. Total annual costs for the website, excluding the 4% credit card transaction processing fees would be $527. Cory offered to personally pay for the first year’s cost of the website.
The topic of raising the membership dues to support the future costs of the website, annual banquet, and other club related activities was discussed. Mike Allen stated that once we accomplish the backend tasks (website development & identification of the Activities Board member) he will pay the current years’ membership dues for any purchaser of a new BMW from Motohio.
After further discussion, Larry Laskorski moved to continue the development of the website, as proposed by Cory Samuel, the motion was seconded by Al Holtsberry. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
Mike Allen stated that he checked the activity status of the club with both BMW MOA and RA. He advised that the club’s MOA number (“99”) as reflected on our blog does not show as active on MOA’s website. Henning Carlsen stated that he has been paying the annual dues for this membership and had recently phoned MOA within the past few days. MOA advised him that the club is currently in active status and that they will be sending our club’s certificate to him. After some discussion and online research, it was determined that the actual number for the club is “CC099.”
Mike also advised that BMW RA number (“38”) lists our website incorrectly as “buckeyebeemers.org.”
New business –
Renewal of Ohio Corporate Registration – Mike informed the members in attendance that Michelle Matheron had forwarded to him the renewal notice that she had received from the office of Ohio’s Secretary of State. That notice advised us that as a nonprofit corporation, we are required to file a “Statement of Continued Existence.” Our current registration with the State is scheduled to expire on February 17, 2022.
Larry Laskorski also noted that Michelle had filed the last registration document using her personal address as the corporation’s address. Henning Carlsen stated that the club maintains a P.O. Box 154 at the main post office in Columbus. Larry additionally noted that Michelle was listed as the corporations Statutory Agent. Larry volunteered to serve in this position for the club and prepare the renewal the necessary documents and forward them to Henning to issue payment of the fees and mail the documents to the Ohio Secretary of State. Larry’s suggestion was supported and moved by Mike Allen and seconded by Henning Carlsen. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
2022 Membership Dues - Al Holtsberry then moved to increase the annual membership dues to $35 which was seconded by Cory Samuel. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried.
Sunday morning breakfast meetups – Henning Carlsen informed the members in attendance that the quality of food and service provided by Denny’s for the Sunday morning meetups has gone dramatically downhill. He has identified a possible new Sunday meet up spot: Sunny Street Café, located at 7573 Sawmill Rd., Dublin, OH, 43016. Henning suggested that we give this new location a try on Sunday, November 28th at the same time as normally scheduled (9:00 AM). Please note that this is a trial run with Sunny Street Café. No action was taken by the members in attendance to make this change permanent. We await a report from Henning and any other members that join him, as well as any other suggestions for an alternative to Denny’s. Larry Laskorski will send out an email to the membership advising them of the different location for Sunday, November 28th.
Meeting Dates – The topic of changing the weekday for the monthly meetings to the third Tuesday of the month to allow the membership the opportunity to participate in Motohio’s weekly Wednesday dinner rides. After some discussion, it was decided to table further discussion of this topic until the February meeting.
Activities –
None.
Questions raised -
None.
Next Meeting –
Just a reminder that there will be no December meeting. The next meeting will occur on the date of the annual banquet. Date to be determined and announced to the membership via email, as well as potentially the blog and Facebook.
Adjournment - A motion to adjourn the meeting was made by Mike Allen at 9:18 PM which was Seconded by Terry Smith. All members in attendance voted in favor, with no objections, and the motion was carried. Meeting was adjourned.

The treasurer's report-

Cory Samuell is still waiting for Dave Burroughs to provide him with the ability to update the membership information on the blog.
The October meeting was held at Planks Café & Pizzeria, 743 Parsons Avenue, Columbus, OH. The overall reaction from the members in attendance was that this was a good location that featured a large parking lot and a private dining area where we could socialize, eat and meet. The food and service were very good, as well. While many years ago this area of town was not a particularly good part of town, the area surrounding Nationwide Children’s Hospital has greatly improved in recent years. Mike Allen drove his convertible Corvette to the meeting, which was undisturbed when he returned to it, after the conclusion of the meeting, to drive home.
Mike Allen continues to research alternative meeting places. He is still seeking suggestions from the membership for alternate meeting locations. The plan is to be able to announce the location of the following month’s meeting at the close of the current month’s meeting
Mike Allen asked Larry Laskorski reach out to Dave Burroughs to ask him to update the current blog language that addresses the monthly meeting location.
Current language:
Membership General Meeting - Held the 3rd Wednesday of every month except January, at Denny's Begin eating at 7pm and meeting starts at 8 pm. Denny's at the Flying 'J' Truck Stop at 7735 E State Route 37/36 Sunbury Ohio.
The revised language should read:
Membership General Meeting - Held the 3rd Wednesday of every month except January. The location of each meeting changes monthly. The next month’s meeting location will be determined and communicated during the current month’s meeting, or through the monthly meeting reminder email which is currently issued on the Sunday prior to the meeting.
New Club Tent - The new club tent as approved at the August meeting has yet to be ordered.
Mike Allen asked the members, in attendance, if anyone is, or knows who is in possession of the electronic image of the club’s logo. Further discussions regarding the design of the tent and that any incorporation of the BMW Roundel would require the approval of BMW Corporate.
Discussions took place regarding the design of the canopy. Anne and Elizabeth Allen both stated that, in recent years, BMW has changed the look of the Roundel and is now requiring that anytime that the Roundel is presented, it must be accompanied by “BMW Motorrad.”
Mike Allen volunteered to develop some mockups of the canopy and present them at the next meeting for approval by the club members.
Jamie Picou volunteered to attempt to locate the old canopy.
New Club Website – Cory Samuell is developing a private website for the club. Once the initial website development has taken place, Cory will share the link to it with the members of the club for their input and approval before launching the website.
New business –
Pre-meeting meetup and ride to meeting location – Mike Allen suggested that we could attempt to incorporate an activity, where practical, into a meeting date. We could all meet up at a local point of interest (E.G. Wagner-Hagans Auto Museum) and then go to the meeting. In this example the Museum is a five-minute walk from Plank’s Café & Pizzeria.
Activities –
Day and Overnight Rides - A suggestion was made to schedule day rides to various points of interest (E.g., Wright Brothers Museum at the border of Ohio and Indiana, Brims Imports in Kenton, OH, overnight camp outs, etc.).
Elizabeth Allen volunteered to compile a list of possible locations and destinations for club rides.
With the current vacancy for the Activities Director position, Mike Allen requested that all members submit ideas for activities and rides at the November meeting.
Annual Banquet – Al Holtsberry raised the topic of scheduling a club banquet for this year. No banquet was held in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19 on social gatherings. Mike Allen is in favor of having a banquet for this year. Elizabeth Allen stated that this would be a great opportunity for some of the members that have not attended recent meetings to become informed of the club’s plans going forward. (E.g., new website, day rides, activities, etc.)
Questions raised -
None.
We anticipate that our next meeting will be held at a new location. Once the new location is identified and confirmed you will get an email directing you to the new meeting place. After adjournment, Mike identified the Paddock Pub, 1005 Richardson Road, Groveport, OH as the location for the November meeting . The location of the November meeting will be provided to the membership in the meeting reminder email that is sent out the Sunday before the scheduled meeting.

Cory volunteered to develop a private website which he will share the link to with the members of the club for their input and approval before launching the website.
A motion to move forward with the project was made by Mike Allen and Seconded by Cliff Davis, all members, in attendance, were in favor with no objections.

Old business:
We did not get any response from the 'sign-ups' we collected at the AMA Heritage Event. We addressed them by sending emails to each.
The AMA Heritage Event overall was considered a success. It was a two day event with a band, food and… DEMO RIDES! sponsored by our President's BMW dealership, MOTOHIO.
The first of the two days was good weather: 70 Demo rides! Then, on day two (Sunday) it rained but we still got 12 more demo rides. Eighty two ain't bad. Everyone had a pretty good time.
New business:
There have been changes to the club. We are losing Dave Burroughs as Acting Secretary. Larry Laskorski has been elected as the new Secretary with Dave's blessing. We are losing Steve Wolf as Membership Board Member. Cory Samuell will be the new Membership Board Member with Steve's blessing. Both are experienced long-term riders. Come to the next meeting and be introduced.
We are still looking for an Activities Board Member to replace Michell Matheron. Any ideas?
Mike made a motion to research changing our monthly meeting place, 2nd by Steve and carried. The motion is to find enough restaurants to provide a different meeting place each month. This would provide diversity in travel distance for the membership that is spread out around the area. Each place will need either a private room for us or perhaps a quiet section in a corner. We ask for ideas of restaurants in your area that might make a good place to meet. This could become a regular route, perhaps a different restaurant for each month in the year. Think about it.
Activities:
AMA Bike Night at The Museum: 4pm - 8pm on September 11 2021 at the museum. 13515 Yarmouth Dr. Pickerington Ohio.
October fest at The Ohio State Fair Grounds: 717 E. 17th ave Columbus Ohio at 2pm on September 11 2021. Free admission and Free parking if we show up as a club group.
Wailin Wayne Weekend in Nelsonville: September 8th - 12th 2021 at the Hocking Collage Campground, Nelsonville Ohio. Food, off road rides, road rides, bands, contests family stuff. MOTOHIO sponsored.
Questions that came up:
Mike asked "Should we buy a club tent with the club logo emblazoned on it to be used in upcoming club events?" Mike volunteered to pay for it if it also had MOTOHIO on it. Motion to purchase was made, Steve 2nd, it carried. Looks like we'll be getting a pop-up tent.
Should we think about getting a Facebook account for the future. With the advent of younger members coming into the club this is food for thought. Needs research though. Express your thoughts at the next meeting.
If the next meeting is NOT at the Flying J Denny's you will get an email directing you to the new meeting place.
Motion at 9:18 to adjourn, Henning 2nd, meeting adjourned.
General Monthly Meeting Minutes for July 2021
Attending: Dave Burroughs (Web Guy and Acting Secretary), Ed Caughell, Al Holtsberry, Steve Wolf (Membership).
As we did not have a quorum of Board Members (there was Only Board Member Steve Wolf) at the meeting so we could not have a full meeting. However, there was some discussion of how we should handle the potential enrollees discovered at the recent Heritage BMW event.
The current Membership Board Member indicated that he could not handle the introductory procedure as he will be busy working out of town for the next few weeks and would not have the time. Al Holtsberry then offered, using the provided list from the Heritage event, to send an email to each of the prospective new members inviting them into the club. He asked me, Dave, to work with him in developing a message inviting the new members.
The plan is to send each prospective new member a welcoming statement and a brief rundown as to what the club is. This will give the new applicant insight as to whether they would still like to join or not. I will supply a link to the needed printable Beemer's Club Application to Al so that IF they decide to join they can print that application, fill it out (all the needed information is on the application) then send it to the P.O.Box indicated on it. I can supply a link to the Beemer's website front page as well to allow them to browse through the entire website and get a feeling for our club.
There was no more OFFICIAL club discussion after that. The rest of the meeting was just social.
GENERAL MONTHLY MEETING MINUTES for June 2021
Attending: Jamie Picou (President), Henning Carlsen (Treasurer), Dave Burroughs (Web Guy and Acting Secretary), Ed Caughell, Brenda Carlsen, Pat Barnes, Pete Barnes, Cliff Davis, Al Holtsberry, Mike Allen.
Special Note…. The meeting notice sent out to the membership indicated -as it has always in the past- "eat at 7pm, meet at 8:pm". This was not the way it turned out however. We arrived in the usual manner expecting to eat that "wonderful" Flying 'J' Denny's food then go on with the traditional meeting after eating. When we arrived, Denny's had forgotten that we were to have our monthly meeting that night despite being reminded twice. They had not planned for it and were grossly understaffed that evening as a result: just the manager and one cook. The nine members who had showed up -when realizing that they must wait at least a half an hour to be served- decided to do the meeting first, then eat. This turned out to be an inconvenience to anyone arriving just for the meeting at 8pm. Apologies to Ed Caughell.
Jamie Picou called the Beemer’s Monthly General Meeting to order at 7:33 PM. The last meeting was in February 2020 so we all decided that minutes from that meeting would be rather meaningless. There was no reading of those minutes.
Treasurer's Report:
The Treasurer (Henning Carlsen), freshly back from vacation in Georgia presented a summary of moneys taken in and checks written during the years of 2020 and 2021. The club is still solvent. For more details contact Henning.
Al motioned that all the members who paid during 2020 should by considered paid up until the next renewal time in January 2022. At that time the dues for the full year 2022 are due. All agreed.
Henning indicated that he has also paid the annual MOA (BMW Motorcyclist Owner's Association) yearly dues, the RA (BMW Rider's Association) yearly dues and the AMA (American Motorcyclist Association) yearly dues.
Membership Report:
Membership Board Member (Steve Wolf). There was no membership report as the Membership Board member was not present. In the future, if any member needs a home address, phone number, or email address from the Secure Membership list contact Steve Wolf or Dave Burroughs. This list is for members only. The list is password protected for the use of the Membership Board person (Steve) and the Web Administer (Dave). The information is available to all members through them.
New Business:
We have a new member :Mike Allen. Mike has expressed the desire to be the next President of the club. We discussed this with Jamie -current President- who was very interest in being relieved of the position for his own personal reasons. Jamie has served in that position for many years faithfully through thick and thin doing a really great job. Jamie has no problem with relinquishing the position.
Pat Barns, then, nominated Mike Allen for the position of president of the Buckeye Beemers. It was seconded, but in the confusion I did not hear by whom. All members present agreed.
Congratulations Mike you are our new President.
Mike proceeded to speak on how he can bring new younger members into the club. We really need some younger riders.
He focused on outlining the structure of the club, board members, events and how a possible membership drive could be done. He currently runs Motohio BMW of Ohio and has access to new BMW owners. As an example he suggested that "we could offer a free membership for each BMW sold".
Old Business:

Treasurer's Report:
The Treasurer (Henning Carlsen), freshly back from motorcycling in Florida, presented his annual report on the January Banquet and the 2019 Overall Club Finances: they were both clear and concise. The club is still solvent. For actual details contact Henning (address below).
Henning also suggested a contribution to the charity organization The Smile Train again this year then indicated that he found a challenge contributor who will quintuple any offer we make. Dave Burroughs motioned we contribute $250, Steve Wolf seconded the motion, all approved. The motion carried.
Henning indicated that he will also make the annual MOA (BMW Motorcyclist Owner's Association) yearly dues renewal payment.
Membership Report:
Membership Board Member Steve Wolf. We have a new member! Jason Alexander. Welcome Jason to our semi-formal, mostly social club of friendly and talkative guys and some gals.
Henning will be sending all "paid up" and "new" member documentation to Steve Wolf (Membership) to update the master address file. In the future, if any member needs a home address, phone number, or email address from that list contact Steve Wolf or Dave Burroughs. This list is for members only. The list is password protected for the use of the Membership Board person (Steve) and the Web Administer (Dave). The information is available to all members through them.
New Business:
So far this year (2020) we have two new members to add to the roster: Dave Douglas and Jason Alexander both younger folks. This will certainly lower the average age of the club, a good thing, we need new younger fresh ideas and suggestions.

The banquet was again, as you know, at Schmidt's Sausage Haus in German Village 240 East Kossuth Street in January. There was a good turnout and the food and friendship was great as usual. One downside though: we did not have the usual guitar entertainment this year as John LaFollette was ill. Hope he is better now, we missed his good sounds.
Concerning the Banquet: We invited our supporting venders. Thanks to all for coming and doubly thanks for the door prize items that you brought along. We always look forward to renewing our relationship with our vendors. We love the drawing of the door prizes they bring as well as those contributed by the various members.
The vendors are:
Iron Pony, MotOhio, Mathias BMW, Recycle BMW. Also thank you to those club members who contacted the vendors and invited them.
Buckeye Beemer's were "almost" not represented at the announced New Years Ride with the MotOhio group proposed by Al Holtsberry in December. Al was the only person who showed up at MotOhio from the Buckeye Beemer’s.

The rest of the time we just B.S.ed as a social group. Perhaps there will be interest enough next month to have a real meeting. Or perhaps sometime in the future (next year?) the whole club could become simply a social club. (As a certain President would say "We'll see what happens".

Treasurer's Report: The club still has $$$$$$$, for the actual number contact Henning.
The Treasurer has moved the club's money from The 5/3rd bank- because they no longer offer the service free- to Union Savings.
Henning stated that our P.O. Box has gone up in price from $80/yr to $100/yr. He suggested that we eliminate the post office box and just have all correspondence mailed directly to him at Henning's home address -5405 Infinity Court, Grove City Ohio. This would not only save a few dollars but eliminate the need for the Treasurer to drive to the post office box every time there is a need to pick up correspondence.
