Old business -
Activities Board Member Search – Rich McCoy has agreed to fill the vacant position of Activities Board member. Since we did not put this appointment to a vote at the April meeting, we will do so at the May meeting. In the meantime, we welcome Rich and look forward to the activities that he will develop and offer to the organization.
Review/update of Club Bylaws & Constitution – Larry advised the members in attendance that he received commentary from a couple of members. He also stated that while he plans to provide the membership with an updated version of both the Bylaws and Constitution for review and approval by the general membership, his current workload from his employer is not allowing a great deal of free time to convert/transcribe the current hard copy of the Constitution into an electronic document that can be edited easily. Mike stated that while we would like to bring both documents current, they have been around for forty plus years, and we are not working under any deadline to accomplish this task. Larry will exercise best efforts to update both documents as quickly as possible, as his free time allows.
Club Stickers – With Cory Samuel not in attendance for this meeting, no update on this topic was given.
New business –
Mike stated that now that we have taken steps to improve our administrative processes (E.g., new website and the process to update both the Bylaws and Constitution we can start to have some fun. With the addition of Rich McCoy as our activities coordinator we should now begin to focus on opportunities to have fun as a group. This led into a discussion around potential activities that the club could undertake.
